Question and Answers:
About the Books
Q: What genre do you write?
A: I write emotional, character-driven stories that people can truly relate to. Some books explore difficult themes like domestic violence and healing, while others focus on love, growth, and real-life challenges.
Q: Are your stories based on real events?
A: My books aren’t autobiographies, but many are inspired by real feelings, moments, and experiences. Both mine and those shared with me. I write with honesty so readers can connect deeply with the characters.
Q: Do all your books include domestic violence themes?
A: No. Only my first series focuses on domestic violence and the journey of escaping and rebuilding. Future books will cover different themes, relationships, and life experiences.
Q: Do your books have trigger warnings?
A: I don’t typically include formal trigger warnings, but the book descriptions clearly explain when a story contains themes like domestic violence or other sensitive topics, so readers know what to expect.
Q: Do your books need to be read in order?
A: My series should be read in order for the full experience. Standalone books will be clearly labeled.
About the Author
Q: What inspires you to write?
A: I’m inspired by real emotions, real people, and the strength behind everyday stories. I write to connect, to heal, and to show readers they’re not alone.
Q: What made you want to write?
A: I’ve been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I still have around 30 little books I made between kindergarten through second grade,... cereal boxes cut up and wrapped in contact paper with pages sewn inside. My mom saved every one of them. At 13 I published a book in a contest and won. And as I grew older, I found a love for poetry. I had a poem published in a book at 15.
As I grew up, I fell in love with reading too. Watching my mom and Gram read all the time made stories feel like home, and I knew I wanted to write books that could make others feel something powerful too.
Q: Who are your favorite authors?
A: Growing up and forever my number one is Jane Austen. Over the years I also fell in love with the works of Nicholas Sparks and Nora Roberts, and more recently I’ve really enjoyed Colleen Hoover and Lucy Score.
Q: How long does it take you to write a book?
A: Once my outline and characters are set, I write quickly. Words and descriptions come easy for me. They always have. But every story is crafted with intention, depth, and care. The longest and most difficult part about writing a book, for me, is coming up with what I want to write about and organizing it.
Q: Will there be more books from you?
A: Absolutely. I have many stories planned. some emotional, some romantic, some healing, some raw. All honest and heartfelt. And I am always open for suggestions as well.
